How to register and use the app

  • How to register (new user)

    1. Download Absa Ghana Mobile App via Google play store or Apple store
    2. Open the App on your device
    3. Click register
    4. Choose ID card that has been recently verified by Absa
    5. Enter your Absa verified ID number
    6. Enter your date of birth
    7. Enter branch code and account number
    8. Enter digit of specific positions of your debit card as requested (e.g. when debit card number is 4321 0681 9561 8843, 2nd, 4th, 12th and 16th positions would be 3, 1, 1, 3)
    9. Enter debit card expiry and CVV
    10. Submit and wait for OTP via SMS
    11. Enter OTP 
    12. Create an online banking username
    13. Create an online banking password
    14. You will see a confirmation screen and you can start banking

  • Forgot password

    1. Select Forgot Username/Password 
    2. Select ID type
    3. Enter ID number
    4. Enter date of birth
    5. Select verification method *Account number* or credit card
    6. Account number  
    7. Enter account number without code
    8. Enter digit of specific positions of your debit card as requested e.g. when debit card number is 4321 0681 9561 8843, 2nd, 4th, 12th and 16th positions would be 3, 1, 1, 3.
    9. Enter debit card expiry date.
    10. Enter CVV
    11. Select branch
    12. Enter OTP received
    13. Create new password
    14. Confirm new password
    15. Log into the App with new password
How to pay your credit card
  1. Open the Absa Ghana Mobile App on your device
  2. Login
  3. Select 'Transact' at the bottom right corner of the screen
  4. Select 'Pay credit card'
  5. Select 'Pay to new or a linked card'
  6. Select the payment option
  7. Select Account to debit, amount and reference narration
  8. Submit and wait for confirmaton screen
How to make an immediate inter-bank (GHIPSS) payment
 
  1. Open the Absa Ghana Mobile App on your device
  2. Login
  3. Select 'Transact' below
  4. Select GHIPSS instant pay for real time
  5. Select 'Pay a new beneficiary' or an existing beneficiary 
  6. Enter account number and select Bank
  7. Account verification
  8. Select Account to debit, amount, originator charges, reason for payment and reference narration
  9. Submit and wait for OTP
  10. Enter OTP and submit
  11. You will see a confirmation screen
How to do a fund transfer (Absa to Absa)
  1. Open the Absa Ghana Mobile App on your device
  2. Login
  3. Select 'Transact' below
  4. Select Absa to Absa
  5. Select 'Pay a new beneficiary' or an existing beneficiary
  6. Select Account to debit, amount and reference narration
  7. Submit and wait for OTP if it is a new beneficiary
  8. Enter OTP and submit
  9. You will see a confirmation screen
